“Speculative Music / New Storytelling”
SAKUMA HIroshi, who worked on "Augmented Music" at Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival vol.3 in 2023, has set the theme that "storytelling, which brings about behavioral change in society, is one of the important values of art." A total of 5,000 people have visited the "Augmented Music" series, which has become a hot topic on social media, and new artists will be invited to update it. In 2025, the festival will delve deeper into the concept, designing "stories that help us change the world for the better" from both the perspectives of contemporary art and entertainment, and exploring storytelling that works in a multifaceted and ubiquitous way from the streets of Osaka.
Venue Information
The work that has been on display since April is digital signage. Short movie works that can only be seen here, created by artists participating in the "Speculative Music / New Storytelling" group, will be screened on the signage in LUCUA Osaka.
The content will change for a limited time. In addition, the "Speculative Music / New Storytelling" art exhibition is scheduled to be held at Lucua Osaka in September 2025.
May to June: "Harmonious Vacuum" x0o0x_ x Sakuma Hiroshi
The opening of "Harmonious Vacuum" by x0o0x_ and Sakuma Hiroshi, which was performed at "Music Together" at the end of last year, is now available for a limited time on signage.
Like Stanislaw Lem's "Perfect Vacuum," it is part of an installation work that gives the impression of the presence of music surrounded by non-existent things.
April to May: "Aino Musica" Sekai x Sasuke Haraguchi
The beginning of "Aino Musica" by Sekai and Haraguchi Sasuke, which was performed at "Music Together" at the end of last year, is currently being shown on signage.
Think about the difference in presence between music made with love (AI) by humans and music made by AI (AI).
