In today's cities, where surveillance cameras have become a part of everyday life, people are monitored 24 hours a day. Even in the virtual city of social media, people are under the watchful eye of new forms of surveillance. The endless stream of information acts as a gaze that increasingly identifies and monitors individuals. Personal expressions under surveillance are suppressed, and uniform statements that never offend others are enforced. In the 21st century, there is no escape from this rapidly developing system. The only solution is to shut out information from the internet. One must voluntarily leave the virtual city. It seems simple, but it is impossible. Why? Because it would mean losing the ability to monitor others.
