We received messages from people in various fields on the occasion of the opening of Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025.
ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister
"Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025"
We would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations on the grand opening of "Study: Osaka, Kansai International Arts Festival 2025," which will welcome artists from over 20 countries around the world and be held with the support and cooperation of many embassies and consulates from around the world.
This art festival is an extremely meaningful endeavor that not only conveys the appeal of Japanese culture to the world, but also creates dialogue and cooperation that transcends national and regional boundaries. In particular, we believe that the fact that public institutions from around the world have placed their trust and expectations in this art festival and are supporting and cooperating with it demonstrates new possibilities for Japanese cultural diplomacy.
This art festival will also contribute to the "creative economy" that is driven by creativity and diversity, and will play an important role in Japan's growth strategy. We hope that the power of art, which will be exhibited both inside and outside the venue in conjunction with the Osaka-Kansai Expo, will move people's hearts and foster hope for the future.
I hope that this art festival will continue to develop into a symbol of cultural exchange across borders and as a legacy of the Osaka-Kansai Expo. I would like to express my deepest respect for the efforts of all those involved and pray for its success.

Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru
Mr. KOHASHI Kenji, Event Planning Producer/Creative Director for the Osaka Kansai Expo
The questions that will envision the future are here and now.
Art has the power to ask questions.
It's not something you ask someone for an answer to, but something you quietly ask deep in your own heart.
In these times of great global upheaval, I strongly feel that art is an important means for reconnecting people with each other, with society, and with the future.
The International Art Festival is a forum for seriously considering such questions, and working with artists from all over the world, weaving together a wide range of expressions in the streets of Osaka, Kansai, and at the Expo site.
Art will blend into the city and daily life, both inside and outside the Osaka Kansai Expo site, making people stop, feel, and think.
We hope that such irreplaceable moments will be created in your daily life.
The future is not something that can be left to someone else.
The imagination of each of us will shape the future.
I truly believe that this art festival will be the beginning of us starting to envision such a future together.
Mr. NAKANO Hiromasa, Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Member of the House of Representatives
