Announcement of "Study: Science Art Award Supported by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd."
Study: Osaka Kansai International Arts Festival Executive Committee (Art Rogue Inc., Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, CEO: Suzuki Daisuke) will be holding the "Study: Science Art Award Supported by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd." as an official program of the "Study: Osaka Kansai International Arts Festival 2025," which will be held from April 11, 2025.
The aim of this award is to explore new creativity born from the fusion of science and art, and it covers media art using IT such as computers, the Internet, video and audio, programming, and AI, as well as bio-art using organisms, ecosystems, and nature in general, and bio-engineering such as genetic engineering, tissue culture, and cloning. We are looking for work plans that will open up new possibilities for expression, with an emphasis on artistic quality and concept.

■Event Overview
The judging process will focus on artistic quality, concept, and feasibility that utilizes science and technology, and will select five finalists.
The five finalists selected from the first round of judging will each be awarded a prize of 1 million yen and will hold an exhibition called "Finalist Exhibition" at Grand Cube Osaka (Osaka International Convention Center). In the second round of judging, the judges will inspect the exhibition and select the award winners. At the same time, the international art fair "Study × PLAS: Asia Arts Fair" will be held at the same venue, attracting many visitors from Japan and abroad, providing a valuable opportunity for the works to be widely introduced.
