＜Nishinari area＞
Guesthouse, Cafe and Garden Kamagasaki University of the Arts
Opened in 2012 in Kamagasaki, Nishinari-ku, Osaka. Run by the NPO Cocoroom, the Room for Voice, Words and Hearts. Treating the town of Kamagasaki as a university, the university holds around 80-100 courses a year, including astronomy, aesthetics and choral singing, at various local facilities. In recent years, with the aging of the people living in Kamagasaki, the university has focused on memories and records, and is also active as a place for encounters and expression, providing courses at nearby high schools and junior high schools, and holding collaborative courses with Osaka University.
