Event Information

Sonic Horizons
- Live performance with 3D sound + workshop -

A multi-dimensional surround sound system (Acousmonium) will be used to design a surround sound space in the venue. Each artist will analyze the unique characteristics of the sound in the song in advance, and by controlling a wide variety of speakers with a sound console, it will be an "experimental live performance that reconstructs the sound." The audience will be surrounded by speakers and will be able to experience a life-like performance full of realism.
In addition, a workshop will be held where participants can actually touch the Acousmonium and experience acoustic design. Special lecturers are scheduled to give overview explanations and demonstrations, but as one-on-one instruction will also be included, the workshops will be small in size (approximately 5 people) and require prior reservations.

Date: 2025 September 20th (Saturday), September 21 (Sunday)
[Workshop] 14:00-15:00
[Live] 16:00-17:00, 17:30-18:30
Venue: Stage Sora (1F Sora no Hako, 1-7-11 Bakuro-cho, Chuo-ku, Osaka) ⇒ Venue website

- Sound installation -

The artist creates complex expressions that incorporate visual elements such as sound, video, and objects. Each work presents a "dialogue with the viewer" in its own way. The system of the work is automated by PC, and it is a participatory installation that allows the viewer to experience transitions and interactions with the work, such as random sound synthesis and video projection.

Date and time: Saturday, September 20, 2025 September 21 (Sunday)
[Exhibition] 10:30-17:00
Venue: Gallery & Space SIO (1-3-26 Minamisenba, Chuo-ku, Osaka) ⇒ Venue website

Starting out in the Kansai region, the group gradually gained recognition in the independent electronic music scene and academic fields, and is expanding its activities globally with the support of the industry and music fans both in Japan and overseas.
The group plans and produces projects that utilize the acousmonium (3D sound system) and the individual characteristics of each member, in order to present electroacoustic music not just as an auditory experience, but as a comprehensive art form that uses the visual and sensory spheres in installations and live performances.
They are engaged in a wide range of activities, including releasing music and producing albums, raising awareness and promoting the movement through seminars, concerts and roundtable discussions with guests, and reaching out to the general public using social media and streaming platforms.
