Matsubara City

We are planning to develop an art collaboration project with our partner city, Matsubara City.
Matsubara City aims to revitalize the region through the Osaka-Kansai Expo, street culture through skateboarding, art, etc. Through collaborative planning, we aim to realize an art festival that will boost the cultural and artistic industry from Kansai.
Matsubara City is recorded in the Nihon Shoki as having been the political, economic and cultural centre of Tajihishibagakinomiya, and is home to the Otsukayama Kofun, the fifth largest keyhole-shaped tumulus in Japan. The site of Tajihishibagakinomiya was later called "Tanbi no Matsubara, where pine trees grow", hence the name Matsubara. Currently, Matsubara is known as the "Skateboard Town Matsubara", and is promoting new culture and lifestyles through skateboarding, street art and more.
