Profile
Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1948. After graduating from junior high school, he worked in various jobs before moving to Kamagasaki in 2013. Inspired by a book on Western mechanical dolls he picked up in a library around 2014, he began self-studying the creation of mechanical dolls. He is nicknamed "Karakuri Hakase" for his humorous and complex movements that he achieves using everyday materials such as cut-up shapes from beer cans he has drunk.
