Born in Chicago in 1986, this is a music project by contemporary artist TATEISHI Jukan, who is active both in Japan and abroad, primarily through installations. His debut song, "Distant," was released in July 2024, accompanied by a music video filmed at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, which was temporarily closed due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake. His lyrics, based on Japanese and English, interweave a variety of languages and cultural backgrounds, his sound blends acoustic and digital, and his unique vocals, which are both powerful and delicate, combine to create striking pop music. His second single, "Collection Theory," will be released at the end of 2024. In April 2025, he will begin a traveling song documentary, "Walkthrough," in which he records the scenery and sounds he encounters in nature, cities, and various other places, both domestically and internationally, along with his own songs.
