Carole A. Feuerman
USA
Born in 1945, Carole A. Feuerman is one of the American artists who turned to hyper-realistic depictions of the human body in the 1970s. Working in bronze, resin, steel, and marble, she has recently focused on public art in the form of large bronze sculptures intended for public spaces. Since her early days, she has been fascinated by the theme of "water" and the depiction of an ideal life with inner balance. Her works focus on life-size and oversized costumes, as well as torsos and body parts dressed in swimming costumes and swimsuit accessories, which appear to be placed casually but enter the viewer's space suddenly but powerfully.
