~LUCUA Osaka will be hosting a major expansion of the "Chapter 3: The Relationship between the City and Art" exhibition project towards the second half of the event~

The Osaka Kansai International Art Festival Executive Committee (within ARTLOGUE inc.) will hold a special art exhibition titled "Speculative Music / New Storytelling" from Sunday, September 14th, 2025 to Monday, October 13th (national holiday) at Lucua Osaka, a fashion building directly connected to Osaka Station (Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City / operated by JR West Japan SC Development Co., Ltd.).

This exhibition will be held as part of the exhibition program of "Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025," and will display artworks by popular Vocaloid artists who are at the forefront of internet culture. This will be the fourth time the series has been held, and has attracted a total of over 5,000 people in total, with previous events focusing on themes such as "Augmented Music" and "Music that Exists Together."

The theme for this year's event is "Speculative Music." All of the artworks created by popular Vocaloid artists include full-length songs, and are both entertaining and thought-provoking. Together with Internet music creators, we will present a form of art that expands our imagination for the future and creates new perspectives and opportunities for action in society.

In addition, limited edition merchandise related to the exhibited works will be on sale at the venue. Enjoy this new experience where art and everyday life intersect as a sudden burst of creative stimulation in the shopping space of LUCUA Osaka.

■About "Speculative Music / New Storytelling"

SAKUMA Hiroshi, who created "Augmented Music" for the 2023 Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival vol.3, has adopted the theme, "Storytelling, which brings about behavioral change in society, is one of the important values of art." The Augmented Music series, which has attracted a total of 5,000 visitors and become a hot topic on social media, will be updated with new artists. The 2025 festival will delve deeper into this concept, designing "stories that help us change the world for the better" from both the perspectives of contemporary art and entertainment, and exploring storytelling that has a multifaceted and ubiquitous impact throughout the city of Osaka.
