Study: The Osaka Kansai International Arts Festival Executive Committee (Art Rogue Inc., Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Chairman: Suzuki Daisuke) will hold a live event featuring the innovative band "Shinshu no Immigrations B," which combines improvisational performances and poetry recitations, at the Osaka Culturarium Tempozan on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Tickets are now on sale.

This event will center around the new species of ImmigrationsB, and will feature live performances by Hajime Tachibana, jan and naomi, and .jvkn, as well as appearances by a lineup of impressive DJs including KAN TAKAGI and K.Motoyoshi® | Motoyoshi Katsuya. The music event "wit" will be held at Osaka Cultural Center Tempozan on Saturday, April 26, 2025!
In addition to live performances by Hajime Tachibana, jan and naomi, Shinshuu ImmigrationsB, and .jvkn, an impressive line-up of DJs including KAN TAKAGI and K.Motoyoshi® | Motoyoshi Katsuya will also be performing.

This event is the Osaka version of "wit," which started last year at "Art ka Bifunn ka Shirochu" in Roppongi. It is organized by Motoyoshi Katsuya, a planning producer and DJ, and features Hajime Tachibana, a musician and graphic designer who has been active for about half a century, and KAN TAKAGI, who led Japanese hip-hop culture in the 1980s.

Also appearing will be jan and naomi, who have attracted attention for their unique style of expression that has been described as "maddeningly quiet," as well as the rapidly growing up-and-coming artists Immigrations B and .jvkn.

Be sure to witness the moment when artists from different backgrounds come together and a new culture is born.

A new kind of band born from the community "Shinshu no Immigrations" in the fall of 2023. Masamichi Toyama, the head of the community, is in charge of poetry readings. Guitarist Tomoko Sawada and drummer Andre Shio (16 years old), a father and son, jam sessions in their home studio, recorded on iPhone voice memos, with Machiko Theremin's Machikado boldly layering effects-heavy sounds, and Junichi Moriwaki mixing original songs with his own unique sense of balance, one after another, are being streamed.

Hajime Tachibana + Hm

Born in Tokyo in 1951. Musician and graphic designer. In 1976, he formed Plastics with Toshio Nakanishi and Chika Sato. In 1979, he released the single "Copy/Robot" on the British indie label Rough Trade Records. In 1980, he made his Japanese debut with the album "WELCOME PLASTICS", and later released "WELCOME BACK" worldwide on Island Records. He then made his solo debut with "H" in 1982, and won the ADC Award for Best Graphic Designer in 1991. He has since been active in various bands and units. He plans to release a new album in 2025.

A duo by Jan Urila Sas and naomi paris tokyo.
Their sophisticated melodic sound and delicate, aesthetic worldview are reminiscent of 70s post-punk, 90s shoegaze and early 00s indie rock. They began their full-scale activities in 2014 with the release of their first single, "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man/time". They have performed at fashion shows, churches, art spaces and other venues, successfully touring not only in Japan but also in Asia, and have also worked on music for commercials.

Born in Chicago in 1986. A music project by contemporary artist Tateishi Juhiro, who is active both in Japan and abroad, mainly working on installations. In July 2024, his debut song "Distant" was released along with a music video filmed at the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, which was temporarily closed due to the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and became a hot topic. The lyrics, which are based on Japanese and English and interweave various languages ​​and cultural backgrounds, the sound that combines acoustic and digital, and the unique singing voice that is both powerful and delicate, come together to create abstract yet striking pop music that is like a work of art.

KAN TAKAGI

Born in 1961 in Zushi City.
In 1979, he debuted as the vocalist of FLESH on Japan's first punk rock label, Godzilla Records.
He joined Tokyo Bravo in 1981 and was active in the nightclub scene at places like Harajuku Pithecanthropus and Shinjuku Tsubaki House.
He began his DJ career at Tsubaki House in 1984.
In 1986, he formed "Tiny Punks" with Hiroshi Fujiwara.
In 1988, he founded Japan's first club music label and production company, MAJOR FORCE, together with Fujiwara Hiroshi, Yashiki Gota, Kudo Masayuki, and Nakanishi Toshio.
Later, in the 1990s, he became active as a solo artist, releasing five solo albums and participating in various productions and projects with various artists.
In 2018, MAJOR FORCE was relaunched to mark its 30th anniversary.
The program "TOKYO MAADSPIN", which he hosts every Tuesday late at night on J-WAVE, began in 2020 and became a hot topic, and in March 2022 he released his first book, "Tokyo in the FLESH" (East Press), which includes his own stories in addition to the conversations from the program.

Born in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. Producer of the neo-Tokyo souvenir brand "SIX SHOP-TOKYO SOUVENIR-". Active in a wide range of fields including DJ, event planning, Japan Running Association certified running advisor, and running advisor.
He fulfills the desires of all people, works on the intersections between people from various angles, and creates cross-points and social spaces that can only be created where he is present. He creates moments where sensitivities that transcend the boundaries of genres, such as expression, art, and music, collide on the campus of Tokyo, exuding a sense of transience and elation.

"Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025" (https://osaka-kansai.art/) is an international contemporary art festival that will be held from Friday, April 11th to Monday, October 13th, 2025.
