Zharko Basheski

North Macedonia

Born in 1957. Professor of Sculpture. His work deals with the incomprehensibility of life and the challenges of human existence. He portrays people in emotional situations far beyond the everyday. To enhance the emotional power of his work, he plays with size: creating oversized sculptures that appear invincible, yet paradoxically more vulnerable, hesitant and doubtful. His work reminds us that there is a direct connection between the inner and outer world of a person.
