"Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025" overview briefing held in Osaka

Today, we held an overview briefing for the Osaka media on "Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025."

During the Osaka-Kansai Expo, this art festival will be held in various locations symbolizing Osaka, including the Expo site in Yumeshima, Osaka Culturarium Tempozan designed by Tadao Ando, Osaka Prefectural International Conference Center (Nakanoshima) designed by Kisho Kurokawa, and the Nishinari and Semba districts. The fourth festival in 2025 will be held as an international art festival that plays a role in connecting the Osaka-Kansai Expo with the entire Osaka area, and will be implemented as an "art festival that studies the relationship between art, people, and society" through domestic and international art projects.

At the press conference, Daisuke Suzuki, general producer of "Study: Osaka Kansai International Art Festival 2025", gave an overview of the festival, and several curators and artists of the works also took to the stage to speak about their enthusiasm and thoughts on the opening.

In the second part, there was a talk session between Suzuki and the mayor of Minato Ward, Osaka Prefecture, where Osaka Tempozan, one of the venues for this art festival, is located.
